Word from the author:

My childhood was Marrakech, the Marrakech of the 60s/70s, before the modern era. Sounds, colors, trotting little donkeys, songs of the muezzin, dyers' souk. And then the immense sand of the long beaches of the Atlantic where the horsemen, rapid birds of the sand, are busy... There are also the journeys which cross Spain to the rhythm of castanets, France, Italy, and these first museums visited in the dazzle of gold with hieratic virgins, but also Botticelli, Giotto, Fra Angelico, Michelangelo, which I clumsily try to reproduce on the way back.

Music is also there in my life, singing accompanies me, meeting composers, creating new pieces never heard before and for which I am also attached to their visual dimension.

One day, for a stage creation project that I was developing, I was asked for “visuals”. I then find the gestures, the features, the joys of pictorial action, in a dynamic that is sought, renewed, experienced.
To create is to measure oneself, to develop oneself, to flourish, in the shadow of the old, in the shadow of the new, it is to watch, to listen, to experience a new adventure every day.
Finally, painting is, as Paul Ricoeur says, “getting better as you age”, a program to which I intend to subscribe to the end, under your indulgent eye.
