Hindi is in the spotlight at the University of Reunion on March 23 on the Moufia and Tampon campuses

World Hindi Day is celebrated on January 10 across the world, to mark the date January 10, 1949 when the Hindi language was first used in the United Nations general assembly.

For several years, the Maison Des Langues of the University of Reunion has participated in the promotion of Indian languages ​​through diploma courses such as the University Diploma in Indian Languages ​​intended for all audiences or the Open Teaching Units intended for undergraduate students who wish to learn languages ​​such as Hindi and Tamil.

Also, the Consulate General of India on the island of Reunion has partnered with the Maison Des Langues of the University of Reunion to organize this event on Thursday March 23, 2023 on the Moufia and Tampon campuses. the University of Reunion.

With the aim of promoting the use of Hindi, various actions are proposed around this event on the two campuses: special Indian meal in the university restaurant, screening of Indian films, exhibitions in university libraries, a workshop on installation of the henna and a Hindi language class with the presence of the Consul General of India.
