Training summary

The Bachelor of Economics and Management is built on lessons that allow students to:

  • understand the characteristics and functioning of contemporary economies

  • acquire the essential skills to integrate different branches of activity (banking, expertise, etc.)

  • continue their studies in the second cycle.

Training aims

Providing graduates with a solid base of skills in economics and management as well as a general culture and intellectual training allowing them to then access without difficulty the training offered at Master's level. From the point of view of professionalization, students have the possibility of going on an internship. The skills acquired in accounting, IT and statistics can be directly used in a business or public administration context.
Mobility abroad for a semester or two is encouraged thanks to the numerous mobility programs offered by the University of La Réunion and through bonus points.

Advantages of the training

Students in License 2 and License 3 have the possibility of integrating the Ambition University Diploma (DU) based on their results from the 1st or 2nd year of the License. This DU is designed to constantly encourage students to develop and enhance their potential to put them in a position to succeed in the most difficult courses after their Bachelor's degree: joining a Master's degree of their choice or a Preparation course for category A competitive exams and A+.

Targeted skills


  • Ability to collect, diagnose and interpret, independently and critically, information relating to economics, management and economic and social reality.

  • Understanding and putting into perspective the reasoning of economic analysis by mobilizing an analytical approach based on a mastery of mathematical and statistical bases and by calling in particular on the history of facts and economic theories.

o As part of this individualized course, the first year of the Bachelor's degree is carried out in the classic way in one year

  • License 1 Economics and management – ​​Individualized course 2:


o As part of this individualized course, the first year of the Bachelor's degree is also completed in one year. The particularity of this course consists in the fact that methodological support is added to the lessons. Methodological support is mandatory and takes place throughout the year. Several techniques are presented to students in order to be able to implement good university working methods as early as possible.

  • License 1 Economics and management – ​​Individualized course 3:


o As part of this individualized course, the first year of the degree is completed over two years. This path is planned to allow students who need it to reduce the workload per year. The lessons of the first year of the Bachelor's degree are therefore spread over two years rather than just one.

  • License 1 Economics and management – ​​Health access (License in Health access - L.AS):


o Students on this course are intended to follow the courses of the Bachelor of Economics and Management as well as courses in health offered by the UFR Santé of the University of Reunion.

o Students registered in the Health Access course are intended to apply for the entrance exams to the studies of Medicine, Midwifery, Odontology and Pharmacy.
