Training summary

The BUT CS prepares people for professions that develop in line with the evolution of society and the problems it encounters.

These professions are currently in high demand in a difficult economic and social situation, where inequalities are widening (in terms of employment, housing, education, culture, health, environment, etc.). They focus on personal and collective development, as well as the reduction of cultural, social, environmental and territorial vulnerabilities.

Training aims

This course covers sectors of activity linked to the areas of solidarity, social action, child protection, education, economic and social integration. The BUT CS trains future professionals who work in partnership with institutions, public or private associations in the social, solidarity and medico-social sectors and perform an interface function between them and the public.

Advantages of the training

By integrating a BUT, students benefit from an integrated 3-year course, without additional selection to reach the License grade.

The graduation is aligned with international standards and facilitates exchanges with foreign universities.

A University Diploma in Technology is awarded at the end of the second year.

With the BUT, the University Institutes of Technology (IUT) are strengthening their strengths: students continue to benefit from university and technological education supervised by experienced mixed teaching teams. The course is always structured around professional situations and periods in business.

This training can be done alternately in the 2nd and 3rd years. Work-study is the opportunity to train and acquire a higher education diploma while benefiting from professional experience and remuneration.
