Training summary

The BUT HSE is presented in the form of a single course in danger science and management of professional, technological and environmental risks. The BUT HSE graduate being a generalist in risk management will benefit of technical, scientific, legal and human skills to address all aspects of safety, health and
work and the impact of the company's activities and its facilities on the environment and on the health of populations.

Training aims

This training allows you to:
• Identify hazards and carry out risk assessment (radiological,
biological, chemical, etc.) in a company (whatever the sector
activity) or in a community

• Carry out and coordinate all prevention actions in accordance with the Safety Health Environment (HSE) policy validated by management or State services
• Manage emergency situations and crisis situations
• Coordinate the implementation and monitoring of Quality Health Safety Environment (QSSE) standards
• Carry out communication and training campaigns on prevention
risks

Advantages of the training

By integrating a BUT, students benefit from an integrated 3-year course, without additional selection to reach the License grade.

The diploma is aligned with international standards and facilitates exchanges with foreign universities.

A University Diploma of Technology (DUT) is awarded at the end of the second year.

With the BUT, the University Institutes of Technology (IUT) are strengthening their strengths: students continue to benefit from university and technological education supervised by experienced mixed teaching teams.

The course is always structured around professional situations and periods in business.

This training can be done alternately in the 2nd and 3rd years. Work-study is the opportunity to train and acquire a higher education diploma while benefiting from professional experience and remuneration.

Summary of lessons by course

The training is organized into 4 skill blocks

  • Analyze Professional, Technological and Environmental (PTE) risks in a simple context 

  • control PTE risks in a simple context

  • Organize and coordinate simple emergency interventions

  • Participate in the animation of the QHSSE approach

Intership

22 to 26 weeks of internship in Reunion, in the Indian Ocean zone or abroad.
2 or 3 internships in a company are to be carried out: 8 to 12 weeks over the first 4 semesters and 12 to 16 weeks over the last year.
