Application form – Outgoing teaching mobility

Teaching mobility for teaching staff at the University of Reunion Island to benefit from the opportunities offered by the REUNION program to discover partner universities, strengthen links between institutions and follow the work of mobile students.

The candidate for teaching mobility undertakes to provide at least eight hours of teaching for each week spent at the partner university in the 14 day limit.

For this, a number of scholarships is defined each year by the DRI: 12 for 2021-2022 for education and training, in an establishment in the program's partner countries.

A first call for applications was launched on October 14, 2021, allowing the award of 7 mobility grants. A second call will allowgrant the remaining 5 places for the current academic year.

The objective of this call for applications is to boost the field of international relations at our University by giving teachers the financial means to carry out teaching missions in one of the establishments in the program's partner countries:

Calls for applications are launched by the DRI during each academic year from teaching staff at the University of La Réunion, who must complete an application form.

The candidatures will be examined by the selection committee of the REUNION program.

The procedure follows the following schedule:

For admissibility purposes, applications must be presented according to the form posted online on the DRI website: Mobility application REUNION Program – Teaching.

The application form must be validated by the management of the component of the University of Reunion and agreement must be given by the partner host establishment (in particular by email), in order to guarantee that the internal validation circuit at the component was respected.

Once the application(s) have been examined by the commission, the notification is sent by the DRI to the candidate with a copy, if applicable, to the International Relations assessor of the component concerned..

The selection criteria for applications are intended to be general, the objective being to define a very open framework, in order to encourage the diversification of applications.

The most important selection criteria are given below:

  • Adequacy with the establishment project and in particular the objectives of the International Relations Department, which are as follows:
    • Promote an International Relations culture
    • Building academic diplomacy
    • Develop an internationalized training offer, consistent with the needs of the regional market
    • Position the University as a reflex international partner
    • Promote collective research with an international dimension
    • Develop relationships with the professional world abroad
  • Selection of candidates based on mastery of the language of instruction used in the establishment's reception structure
  • Added value for the reception component of the establishment
    • Prospects for increasing the number of students applying for mobility in our degrees.
    • Establishing and maintaining relationships of trust, the foundation of lasting cooperation.
    • Establishment of work habits, exchange of good practices for managing exchanges.
  • Description of the mobility project
    • Give particular importance to the description of your project with regard to the above criteria.
    • Specify the host component of the partner university
    • Provide validation from the management of the University of Reunion component as well as the agreement of the partner host establishment.

The REUNION program selection committee is made up of:

  • The Chairmanship of the commission ensured by the Deputy Vice-President of Europe, International and Regional Cooperation or a representative
  • The international mobility project manager
  • The International Relations correspondents of the UFR, Institutes and Schools
  • The administrative manager of the International Relations department

Each staff benefits for their mobility:

  • A daily allowance varying depending on the country of mobility (see table below)
  • Coverage of the plane ticket (actual costs)
  • Coverage of visa costs (actual costs subject to invoice)

The scale of mission fees comes from the General Directorate of Public Finances
