3rd edition of Marmailles à la Fac

The Faculty of Science and Technology had the pleasure of welcoming primary school students from Les Badamiers elementary school in Moufia - Saint-Denis, as part of the Marmailles à la Fac (Marmailles à la Fac) system.

This project is led by Fabrice JACQUARD, School Teacher at the Les Badamiers school and Anthony FINIZOLA, Teacher-researcher at the faculty.

Workshops are organized by teacher-researchers, researchers, staff and students of the Faculty of Science and Technology.

Program

This year, for the 3rd edition of Marmailles à la Fac (MAFAC), six educational days have been planned:

  • Monday June 12, 2023: two split CP classes (Teachers: Md BOYER & Md TRITON), total number of 28 students.
  • Tuesday June 13, 2023: three CE1-split classes (Md PAYET / Md BRAULT / Md BERTRAND), enrollment 33 students
     

Discovery workshops

Three discovery workshops are offered to children on the following themes:

1 workshop:  

“Rocks for an island” to begin the geological history of Reunion Island,

2 workshop:

“Plants on an island”, making it possible to enhance thearboretum Thérésien Cadet via the discovery of endemic and indigenous plants of Reunion Island,

3 workshop:

“Plants and men”, to talk about the plants that man had to import to Reunion to survive on this island. 

Kids at college, it continues!

  • Monday June 19, 2023: a CE2 class (Teacher: Md EMMANUELLE), number of 22 students.
  • Tuesday June 20, 2023: a CM2 class (Teacher: Md DIJOUX), number of 23 students.
     
  • Monday June 26, 2023: a CE2 class (Teacher: Md CANAZZI), number of 22 students.
  • Tuesday June 27, 2023: my CP class (Teacher: M. JACQUARD), number of 13 students.
