The Erasmus+ France Agency awarded the University of Reunion the “good practice” label as part of the management of the ERASMUS+ KA 103 program, carried out by the International Relations Department, for the year 2018.

This distinction is awarded to projects that demonstrate “high quality implementation and results”. It is awarded on the basis of criteria defined by the European Commission relating to relevance, general quality of implementation, impact and dissemination of project results.

The ERASMUS+K 103 program is the classic student and staff mobility program for education and training purposes.

For the year 2018, the amount of the subsidy allocated to the University of Reunion Island was: 820 euros and the consumption rate was 000%. It made it possible to finance the mobility of 99,4 students in studies and 108 in internships as well as 19 training or teaching mobilities for teaching, administrative and technical staff.

For the record, the University of Reunion has been involved in this program since 1989, which began with exemplary exchanges between our establishment and northern universities (British, German and Swiss) and extended in the early 90s to the Southern Europe through the program of the time entitled “European Islands”.

In a few years, thanks to this program, the university became the European University of the Indian Ocean.

In 30 years, through this program alone, more than 2500 European students have been welcomed while more than 1500 students have gone on studies and internships convinced by the "mobility effect", which is measured at all levels: enlargement and diversification of knowledge thanks to teaching and training provided by teachers from other establishments, acquisition of language skills, development of transversal skills (intercultural, pre-professional, etc.), easier recognition of diplomas (systematic delivery of a supplement to the diploma, Europass), expansion of the pool of internships and employment and a unique expatriation experience!

With its 123 ERASMUS+ inter-institutional agreements, the University of Reunion Island is convinced of the European effect!

It’s a great reward obtained thanks to everyone’s investment. We would particularly like to thank the teaching and administrative teams as well as our student associations involved in the implementation of this program.
