Description of the WEU
Current urban policies are now guided by an objective of sustainable development. That is to say, taking into account ecological, economic and social issues in the development of urban space. Since 2005 in France, the desire to produce differently in the city has raised questions about the new postures and practices to adopt at both the political and operational levels.
In Europe, France and Reunion, the eco-district concept brings together in a single idealized vision of the future city all the possible improvements to achieve the conditions for urban well-being. What is an eco-district? What are the particularities of an eco-district? Why build an eco-district? What are the objectives of an eco-district? Why implement an Ecodistrict label? What is the design methodology for an eco-district? What are the different stages of this development project? How are the controls of the upstream phases of the project identified? What are the governance strategies?
