Description of the WEU

“Bollywood” is a style of Indian dance very famous in India and around the world. He
displays a modern and at the same time traditional characteristic which allows it to be browsed easily
other varieties of dances and being timeless. Throughout the semester, dancers will
learn a choreography including the basic steps, but also mobilize their imagination to
create a collective dance sequence on the theme worked on. To do this, the courses
allow us to enrich the repertoire of actions of students in Indian dance to bring them to
communicate an intention/emotion by mobilizing various transversal skills on time, space, the body, energy, the relationship between the dancers. Theory also comes into play with
learning “mudras” (hand gestures) and their meanings in connection with
choreography.

Smiles, good humor and a good atmosphere will be there!
