Description of the WEU

The UEO “Preparation for mobility in a German-speaking country” aims to prepare students from the University of Réunion for future mobility in a German-speaking country. The mobility project can be planned for the current year or for the following year. Registration in this UEO does not guarantee that the student will necessarily be accepted into an exchange program. He/She must apply through the same channels as other students. However, the validation of this UEO will be an asset to be used by candidates when putting together their files.
The WEU is structured into three modules:

  • The “Health / Citizenship” module is a common core that brings together students interested in mobility, all destinations combined. Speakers will first raise students' awareness of the correct behaviors to adopt in relation to health risks (physical and/or psychological) during mobility. Then the students will be made aware of the notion of 'European citizenship', the values of which they will convey abroad.

  • The “Interculturality” module aims to prepare students for the cultural differences that they are likely to encounter during their daily life abroad (accommodation, food, travel, administrative and banking procedures, etc. .)

  • The “Linguistic reinforcement” module aims to consolidate understanding and oral expression skills in interaction in a mobility context.
