Admission/Pre-registration procedure

For a first registration in a French university in the first year of a Bachelor's degree, in PASS or BUT:

  • Students who have passed their baccalaureate in a French high school are subject to the procedure Parcoursup. The same applies to students from an establishment in the European Union or the European Economic Area.
  • Foreign students (excluding European Union or European Economic Area nationals) holding a foreign secondary school diploma are required to undergo a prior admission procedure to a French university (DAP procedure). This procedure also concerns foreign students leaving a first year in a preparatory class, a Section of Higher Technicians (BTS).

How and where to obtain the preliminary admission file?

  • In countries where there is a Campus France space, the CEF (Centre for Studies in France) procedure is mandatory, the student must make their Preliminary Admission Request (DAP) via the CEF website at the following address : www.“nompays”.campusfrance.org, for example : www.madagascar.campusfrance.org.

List of countries with CEF procedure

  • In countries where there is no CEF procedure, the student must obtain the Prior Admission Request file (DAP – White File) from the Cooperation and Cultural Action Service (SCAC) of the country of residence. It is also available on this Grand Site website.
  • If you already reside in France (in Reunion Island for example), you must collect the Preliminary Admission Request file (DAP – Green File) from the University's Education Service or on this Grand Site website.

This contribution is established in order to promote social, health, cultural and sporting support for students.

For 2023/2024, the amount is 100 euros and must be paid online.

The CVEC certificate must be downloaded online; it concerns all scholarship and non-scholarship students.

It will be mandatory for your registration at university.

Administrative registration must be carried out at each academic year and must be validated: fees paid and card issued.

Only administrative registration confers student status, allows you to take exams and obtain a diploma.
